Welcome to my Website

In 2012, I retired from the State of Iowa after 30 years of loyal employment.

I loved my retirement to my home base in Iowa, but I missed the discipline and creativity that was lacking by just staying at home. So in 2013, I decided to go back to school to learn web development for my own personal enjoyment and satisfaction with hopes of helping people, friends, and non-profit organizations that are appealing to me.

The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) in Ankeny caught my eye with their wide variety of web development classes. Although I lived just a short distance away which made my decision easier, I started classes in the Spring of 2013, which consisted of following classes: Introduction to HTML and CSS, Fireworks, Web Design, and E-Commerce on the Web. As my final design project, I updated the LouZee (pronounced Lousy) Banjo website for my friend, Paul Hopkins.

During the Summer 2013 semester I enrolled in the Introduction to Flash, Computer Repair, and Network Security classes. Combining these new classes, I was ready to continue expanding my knowledge. I am currently enrolled full time for the Fall 2013 semester with an anticipated completion date of my studies at the end of the Spring 2014 semester

Since I'm just a beginner and not a professional web developer, I would appreciate any comments you might have for me to improve my websites and skills.

Thank you for visiting with me here. I look forward to hearing from you.
